1. Where can I volunteer at?
Places like construction/renovation of Low-income housing or community buildings working with children, the Elderly, physically or mentally handicapped, refugees, minority
Groups, English tooters, Soup kitchen, IDF, MADA (Magen David Adom – David Shield), kindergartens and any thing else that comes to Mind.
Internship: depends on a phone interview and a face to face interview with your program coordinator and the employer, a non refundable conformation deposit- This payment is part of the program cost, This indicates us that you are committed to the program.
Resume a letter of recommendation from a formal employer, a copy of your diploma or University / college transcripts, expectation coordination and a letter of recommendation from some one who is not a member of your family.
2. For the working route, what types of positions are typically available?
The participant can choose to work at different jobs offered in the hotelier field, in coordination with the employer prier to the beginning of the program.
3. Are they paid positions?
These positions are paid positions.
4. Is it a requirement to know Hebrew for these positions?
The employee has experience with our participants and has no special requirements of Hebrew knowledge.
5. When is the starting date and when is the deadline to apply?
There is no deadline. you choose when you want to start and end the program. The minimum duration is 5 months and the maximum duration is 10 months.
6. Is it possible to combine between different routs of the program?
It is possible and preferable in order to make your stay fulfilling and interesting.
7. Can I come for a period of 5 months and than decide to stay longer?
Yes, it is possible to do so.
8. What are the housing options?
The housing is in an apartment in the center of Israel and in Jerusalem. You will be living with other participants from other countries who are doing the same program.
The apartment is fully equipped.
You will be sharing a room with another participant unless the apartment is not full.
9. Will I choose an Ulpan, or is there one that is always used by the program?
We send our participants to Gordon Ulpan which is considered one of the best.
In Jerusalem we send participants to Ulpan Morasha.
There will be no problem choosing a different Ulpan as long as it stands in the program standards.
Before beginning of the Ulpan, you will be tested on your Hebrew level and then it will be decided which class you will be starting.
