What documents do I need to submit to support my NEEDS BASED SCHOLARSHIP
application?
Applicants “dependent” on parent(s) or guardian(s).
– 2008 Tax return (Both parents or guardians) Indicating GROSS annual
income.
- Unemployment benefits proof indicated amount + duration of receipt.
- Child support (if any).
- All other income (if any)
eg. Housing, food stamps, disability…

Financially “Independent” of parent(s) or guardian(s)
Note: If any of the following 3 requirements are missing then you can NOT apply for a
MASA needs based scholarship as an “independent” and you should apply as a
“dependent”.

1). A copy of a rental agreement/ lease for 6 months prior to the starting date of the
Israel program.

2). A notarized letter from parents/ guardians declaring independence.

3) Proof of income for 6 months prior to the starting date of the program
(six consecutive months pay slips, tax returns NOT acceptable).
